"The Forgotten Craftsmen of the Alps" is an educational project centered around a 25-minute documentary. Through archaeological excavations, scientific analysis, and researcher testimonies, the film reveals the fascinating history of the first nomadic artisans who, more than 5,000 years ago, crafted objects, jewelry, and monuments for Late Neolithic societies. It highlights the skills that shaped ancient social dynamics and how these craft techniques circulated between Alpine valleys. Designed as an immersive scientific experience, it combines exploration, science, and wonder to convey the richness of this little-known facet of Alpine history.

 

Broadcasted on several channels in order to reach a wide audience (web, television, festivals, and scientific conferences), it will also be screened at interactive events where the general public and schoolchildren will have the opportunity to freely discuss with archaeologists and observe the artifacts they are studying. This project is more than just a documentary: it is a scientific and human adventure that invites us to rediscover the past, share today's knowledge, and inspire tomorrow's researchers.
