“Ephemeral Mountains” is an initiative led by young members of SciencEscape, students in geosciences and environmental sciences at the University of Lausanne and the University of Geneva, who are passionate about high mountains, science, and knowledge sharing.

It explores the impacts of climate change on the Alpine environment and its consequences for athletes and local ecosystems. Through testimonies from experts, researchers, and mountain enthusiasts, the project adopts a pedagogical, fact-based, and human approach, faithful to the spirit of SciencEscape.

This 25-minute documentary, produced in collaboration with three scientists and supported by the SciencEscape production team, combines the training of young scientists in audiovisual communication and documentary production. It highlights research in the Alpine environment while raising awareness of the future challenges of mountain sports.
